Obama’s Food Stamp Mardi Gras

December 2011: The most recent monthly U.S. Department of Agriculture statistics show that the number of food stamp recipients has topped 46 million, an increase of 65 percent since 2008.

October 2011: Obama and his Department of Agriculture’s award the state of Oregon $5 million for its high-performing food stamp program, for “boosting their food stamp rolls.”

According to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), 44,187,831 people were on food stamps at the beginning of February.

SNAP rolls up to the USDA and they sure do make neat graphs don’t they?  You know at least they’re graphing out in red, white & blue… SNAP should get together with the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).  The BLS publishes data on unemployment and inflation, among other things.  Maybe we could combine SNAP and the BLS into one agency called, S-C-R-E-W-E-D.

You know me well enough by now, which is that I am no fan of either establishment party, though sadly I did once in the past, play the game of the "Lesser of Two Evils", for which was tragic. Both seek absolute power, through their own self righteous perceptions of "morality", bastardizing the true concept of the founding of this country and the framing of the US Constitution. Clowns to the Left and the incessant need to control by bigger government while spending us into oblivion; Jokers to the Right and the incessant need to control by religion while spending us into oblivion. Oddly, both are the main two tenets for the founding of the country and framing of the US Constitution - Limited Government and Freedom From Religious Persecution & Religious Zealotry. Is 44 million people on food stamps 44 million households? 315 million legals and illegals in the country. 100 million households. Why not just give everyone food stamps. All we have to do is print money.
