Kenosha’s Public Sector Union Protests Backfire, send in more citizens to RECALL Wirch:
A second Senator has allegedly been netted in the Wisconsin Total Recall Battle. The Taxpayers to Recall Robert Wirch announced late yesterday that they’ve passed the threshold of more than 13,000 signatures needed to trigger a recall election for the Democrat. They are now gunning for 18,000 so they have a decent cushion for any signature challenges. Of the recall campaigns against Democrats the Wirch effort is the best funded (details here). They plan to announce the achievement this afternoon on the Neil Cavuto show. They have not declared a date for when they plan to submit the signatures to the Government Accountability Board.
The committee “Taxpayers to Recall Robert Wirch” announced Monday that they have collected enough signatures to hold a recall election for Sen. Robert Wirch, D-Pleasant Prairie.
With this announcement the fight to recall all 16 eligible Wisconsin Senators (eight Republicans and eight Democrats) is now tied. On Friday, the Recall Dan Kapanke committee delivered signatures to the Government Accountability Board.
