This whole crap about voters taking away the rights of gays to marry is a joke! I do not care if you are gay, straight, bi or what the hell ever, marriage is NOT, and I repeat NOT a right!
Californian’s voted last time NOT to accept homosexual marriages and the California courts overturned the peoples votes. The measure was placed on the ballots in 2008 and the voters voted NO to accept homosexual marriages in the state AGAIN!
No one took away homosexual’s “rights” to marry because A) Marriage is not a RIGHT regadless of your sexual preference and B) The voters BOTH TIMES voted NO to add homosexual marriage into law
I am not here to debate whether or not homosexual marriage should be allowed or disallowed as this is up to EACH state INDIVIDUALLY, but my point is simple:
You will NOT die if you do not have a piece of paper that states you are married to someone. Your life does NOT hang in the balance and thereby determined on whether or not you have some piece of paper that serves as some type of OWNERSHIP over another person-this is just IGNORANT!
want to argue over whether or not someone can make medical choices for you, who will receive your money and belongings should you die: POWER-of-ATTORNEY, LIVING WILLS or a Will in general. Not that friggin hard!
If you do not like the laws in the state where you reside, pick up and move to a state that will accommodate your every needs. Below is a list of states that allow gays to marry:
Connecticut, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont.
